A visit to Refresh Coffee House!
Refresh Coffee House is a cafe situated next door to Renewal North West in the town of Stockport. The cafe was founded in 2022 and was developed in the space underneath a two bedroom first floor apartment - magically transformed into a cosy coffee house for local residents to make use of. The morals of the coffee shop are based on Christian values, with a goal of creating a tranquil, welcoming and safe environment for all customers. The produce they use is locally sourced supporting the local area and they offer a selection of sandwiches, soups and sweet treats.
The Design We Created
After having previously worked with us and being very impressed with our work and service, Refresh kindly asked us to design and manufacture the internal and external signage for them to use to advertise and promote their company. We designed, manufactured and installed the external fascia signs, projecting sign, vinyl window graphics, a-boards and an internal neon look illuminated sign - making it a smooth and enjoyable process for them, eliminating any additional stresses that come about when setting up a business. For the signage, we used aluminium composite fascia, which perfectly fit onto their existing timber panelling, alongside the white, powder-coated aluminium projecting sign. This was vital in ensuring that the coffee shop caught the attention of locals and those passing by, in gaining their knowledge of the new, welcoming coffee stop, perfect for coffee lovers or those wanting to grab a bite. We understand that for successful design and signage, sometimes less is more. Sometimes, the design doesn’t need to be extravagant to grab the attention of the public, it needs subtle, yet attractive detail, which is exactly what we did in the design of the signage for Refresh.
Refresh was built as an additional part of the Renewal North West Charity Shop which is situated next door to the cafe. The signage and logos for the Renewal shop, have a purple and white theme, they are simple and elegant, yet still stand out to those passing by. We chose to design all of the signage in purple, an attractive, bright colour in order to reflect their message of positivity and generosity to the public. Over the purple background, we included a simple white font to embrace their simple acts of kindness to support the local community in line with their Christian values. The ‘S’ of ‘Refresh’ includes a curved arrow, representing the company’s motto of rehoming products and sharing with the local community.
The shop has two entrances, and so therefore, to the rear of the shop, we designed, manufactured and fitted a larger fascia sign made from aluminium composite using a full colour print.
Our Impact
Over the course of working with Refresh we were amazed by the core values of the company and delighted to have had the opportunity to assist in the designing of the logo and signage for the company’s excellent cause.
